• Cherhill football team take home the trophy!

  As we came second in the Calne cluster football tournament, we were invited to take part in another tournament on Friday 1st December at Stanley Park football ground in Chippenham. Our Yr5/6 team braved the freezing temperatures and played some great football. We are proud to announce that we took home the trophy finishing in first place! Well done to all our football stars.

• Sing-Up perform at Bowood Christmas Extravaganza

  Our Sing-Up group were given the amazing opportunity to perform at the opening of the Bowood Christmas Extravaganza. The children sung beautifully in the Chapel and created a real festive feel. We had so many positive comments from visitors about the quality of our singing. A huge thank you to Lady Lansdowne for inviting us.

• Children in Need

  On Friday 17th November, our school council organised events to support Children in Need. We had a dressing up day, where the children got to wear as much or as little spotty as they could find. We held a cup cake sale at playtime which resulted in lots of happy children. We also had guess the name of the teddy, ‘Where’s Pudsey hiding? and ‘Beat the Goalie’. It was a very successful day and we raised £316.94, which will go a long way to helping children in need.

• Year 6 venture off to Govilon for their residential trip

  The Year 6 children set off with their rucksacks in tow, for their week- long annual residential visit to Govilon in Wales. The weather on their first day was beautiful, albeit a little chilly! Their first task was to walk up a mountain, followed by a canal walk in the dark!

• Year 5 and Year 6 football competition

  Mrs Price took two teams to take part in a football tournament at Beaversbrook Sports Centre. They all played brilliantly and took home the trophies for 2nd and 3rd place! Well done footballers.

• Mrs Osborne welcomes a new baby girl, Isla Bella

  We are delighted to inform you that Mrs Osborne had a baby girl, Isla Bella, born at 3.44am on Sunday 24th September, weighing 8lb 5oz. The family are thrilled and Albie loves his new baby sister.
