The children are at the heart of our curriculum.
At Cherhill C. of E. (VA) Primary School we believe that every child should have the opportunity to develop and build their self-esteem and self-confidence.
We encourage our children to have high aspirations and to always strive for the very best. We want our children to be confident, kind, caring and enthusiastic about their learning as well feeling safe enough to be able to take risks with their learning by the time they finish their journey at Cherhill and move on to the next phase of their education and lives.
At Cherhill our main aim is to provide an exciting and stimulating creative curriculum where the children can become fully absorbed through our cross curricular themes and topics. We strive to encompass as many curriculum areas into topics, making them relevant and meaningful to our children.
We use a number of different approaches to explore and deliver our topics to ensure that we enable our children to develop all the skills they need to be confident and successful learners.
We strongly believe that children learn best when they are able to steer and direct their own learning. We want our children to be inquisitive and passionate about their learning and this will spark a desire to be lifelong learners.
