Year 6 had a lovely week in Govilon for their residential. They completed a mountain walk, gorge walking and climbing and also managed to fit in a trip to the beach.

Well done to our Year 3&4 and Year 5&6 cricket teams who have competed in a cricket festival at Kingsbury Green Academy. Year 3&4 came 3rd and Year 5&6 came 1st. Well done to everyone who took part.

Year 5 & 6 children had a lovely time at a Tag Rugby Festival at Kingsbury Green Academy. They played really well and represented the school brilliantly.

Today we had a wonderful time celebrating Coronation of King Charles III.

As part of our celebrations we planted a new tree in the school grounds, a Norway Maple Crimson King. The children also received a wooden bookmark to commemorate the occasion.

On Thursday 27th April HM Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Mrs Sarah Troughton, kindly visited our school. She spoke to the children about her role and her invitation to the upcoming Coronation of King Charles.

Mrs Sarah Troughton also showed us some wonderful photos and shared some interesting history of the Royal Family. 

Well done to the Cherhill school swimming team who went along to the Calne schools swimming Gala. They swam brilliantly and came away in second place overall.

Topaz class had great fun learning about the Ancient Egyptians as part of a special Egyptian day. They spent the day looking at artefacts, clothes and even did some Egyptian maths! This has prepared them well for their learning this term in History.

Cherhill School once again won the SMaRTT Smasher Fun Run Schools cup by virtue of having the most entrants.

We had  20 pupils from Cherhill run the 1 mile fun run.

Our Digital leaders have held an assembly today for Safer Internet Day. They did a great job in promoting how children should talk about what they are doing online and who they could talk to if they had any online safety concerns.
